Dr. Michael Spellberg is a partner at Lathrop GPM and a registered patent attorney specializing in biotechnology. His practice includes patent preparation, global IP portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analyses and due diligence. With a research background in cancer immunology and molecular biology, Michael has a particular focus on oligonucleotide therapeutics, mRNA technology, and antibody therapeutics. Before joining the firm, he conducted postdoctoral research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he developed CRISPR-based tools for epigenetic modification.
